Hereford's Ainsworth praised by Turner

Hereford United manager Graham Turner has praised Lionel Ainsworth after his second hat-trick for the Bulls.

The ex-Derby County winger was in free flow at times yesterday and was deservedly Hereford's man of the match.

"He has had a really good game. He has been doing things like that all season. Lionel has got good pedigree. He learned his trade at Derby County and I think you can see that," said Turner.

"He's got a fantastic hat-trick and I'm really pleased for him.

"We broke well and we attacked well - we did create lots of good opportunities throughout the game. We rode our luck a bit towards the end, but we defended well as a unit.

"I'm biased of course but I think we deserved the three points."

Ainsworth scored a hat-trick against Yeovil in only his second game for the club. His other goal came at Christie Park when the Bulls defeated Morecambe 3-0 back in September.

20 year old Ainsworth is on a one year deal at Edgar Street. He was released by Derby County at the end of last season. Their loss appears to be Hereford's gain.

It might be difficult to hold onto him.
