Carey expected to lose job at Wrexham

In a season that has already seen two League Two managers dismissed from their clubs it looks as though Wrexham's Brian Carey will be next.

The North Wales outfit were defeated by Barnet yesterday 2-0 and now lie 23rd in the table with only Mansfield, who defeated Notts County 2-0 yesterday, below them.

"If performance and results continue like this, I won't be here for too much longer," said Carey

"After every game, I'm answering the same questions and I know football is a results business but I can't worry about what will happen in the future.

"What will be will be upstairs in the board room. I've been in the game long enough to know what happens and we've seen plenty of evidence this season of managers getting sacked."

To date Wrexham have only won twice at home this season. One of the clubs who have come away from the Racecourse with three points is Hereford United who won their game at the ground 2-0 in early September.
