Cheltenham boss John Ward has spoken to their official site about tomorrow's friendly match at Edgar Street:
"Many of the senior players will play at Hereford and it's important that we tidy up a few things as it is the last game. We do have a match on Tuesday at Ellwood but this will feature some of the younger players and perhaps one or two on their way back from injury. There are still places open and I've got to select 16 players for Gillingham, not just 11. There are places for people to get on the bench and I've got no absolute fixture in my mind as to what will be 'the' team for the start of the season. Saturday's match is still likely to influence my thinking.
"I hope the game is not the same as last year's match at Hereford when we were 3-0 down at 20 past three. That was a major concern but we managed to get back to 3-3 and give Graham Turner the problems in the end. That sort of thing happens sometimes and you have to deal with it. What we do know is that it will be a tough game. We saw Hereford in midweek and they did very well against Wolves so it will be exactly the sort of thing we will come up against at Football League level. We are relative neighbours as well and nobody likes to lose those games so there will be a little bit resting on it."
