Ex-Bull Lane Set For 300

Former Bull Chris Lane is set to make his 300th Conference appearance on Saturday, according to the Non-League Paper.

The former Edgar Street full back is the player with the most Conference appearances to his name that still plies his trade in the league. On top of his two and a half years at Edgar Street, Lane has seen service with Southport (twice), Leigh RMI (twice), Chester, and Morecambe. He is due to make his 300th appearance in new club Altrincham's opening fixture with Exeter.

Meanwhile, Lane's former team mate Gavin Williams has not broken his ankle. Ipswich physio Matt Byard reports: "The X-ray showed no bone injury to Gavin's left ankle but he has ligament damage. He will have an MRI scan later this week when the swelling settles down."
