The Website run by the Professional Footballers Association has recently updated it’s list of players available for transfer and it shows the name of John Eustace as being available on a free transfer from Stoke City. Bull’s fans will no doubt recall the effect the combative midfielder had when on loan to the Edgar Street club last season. A player of Eustace style and stature would certainly command a substantial wage and probably a hefty signing on fee so the likelihood of Bulls manager Graham Turner securing his signature may be remote. The Solihull born midfielder who turns 28 in November joined Stoke on a free from Middlesbrough in July 2003 following a successful loan period.
Two other interesting names on the list are those of Dean Beckwith and Rob Purdue. It may be that too much should not be read into the fact that the players are listed as they may simply be exercising their rights while out of contract. Beckwith will be 24 in September whereas Purdie will be 25 in the same month.
