Turner looks forward to Shrewsbury game

Graham Turner is looking forward to Saturday's game against Shrewsbury.

After the poor performance last Saturday at Peterborough the Hereford United manager is looking for a positive reaction.

"We could not have a better home match than against Shrewsbury Town who are well in contention for a promotion place. There will be a good crowd and a good atmosphere here and, more often than not, we have responded well to the better-attended games," Turner told the Hereford Times.

"Shrewsbury have had a good season and look likely to make the play-offs, so there is an opportunity for our players to meet that challenge head-on again to make amends for the Peterborough performance."

Hereford will be without Steve Guinan who has returned to Cheltenham but will welcome back Dean Beckwith from his two match suspension.

Simon Travis, who missed the Peterborough game with an ankle injury, should be back in contention for a starting place.

For those unable to be at Edgar Street and who live locally there will be full commentary of the whole game on BBC Hereford and Worcester's 94.7FM frequency.

Finally police are expected to be out in numbers around Edgar Street on Saturday especially as 15 'supporters' were arrested before, during and after Shrewsbury's game with Wrexham last Tuesday evening.
