League Two Results Round-Up

Torquay now need to win all their remaining games to stand any real chance of staying up after their 2-1 loss at Swindon left them ten points adrift of safety with just twelve to play for. Boston's 4-1 win over fellow strugglers Macclesfield pushed Wrexham back into the drop zone by three points, after they lost to Notts County thanks to a late own goal, but the Welsh side have a game in hand.

At the top, Hartlepool returned to winning ways beating Accrington 1-0 and need just a single point to assure promotion. Ten man Stanley will feel aggrieved to lose after the Pools scored through a disputed penalty. MK Dons 2-1 loss at Shrewsbury, for which they will be fined after having eight booked and a ninth sent off, means that Walsall need to win any one of their final four game to go up and Swindon need to win two.

The Shrews win pushed them back into the play-offs at the expense of Wycombe, who drew 2-2 at Grimsby after surrendering a 2-0 lead. Lincoln also drew, 1-1 with Darlington, while Stockport beat Chester 2-0.

Bristol Rovers' 2-0 win over Bury pushes them to within 2 points of the play-offs with a game in hand over most of their rivals, but Peterboro's hopes are virtually over despite registering a 2-0 win over Mansfield.
