Boston Wait On Injured Pair

Boston are waiting on the fitness of Mark Greaves and Stewart Talbot ahead of Saturday's trip to Edgar Street.

Both were forced out of Monday's win over Macclesfield that pulled them out of the drop zone, with manager Steve Evans admitting that both are major doubts for the trip. The club named four subs for Monday's game but are likely to only have three after Nathan Joynes returned to Barnsley, and could be down to a solitary reserve if neither player recovers in time.

Speaking to the Lincolnshire Echo, Greaves was optimistic about his chances of playing: "Hopefully it was just a bit of cramp in the calf, but if it turns out to be a pull, I might be out for a while.

"I needed to come off to give myself the best possible chance of playing against Hereford on Saturday. I'm at the age where you tend to pick up little niggles, especially after playing two really hard games in just three days like we have."

Boston will travel to Hereford on Friday night after club sponsor Michael Chinn paid for not only a team coach for the trip, but also overnight accomodation. Greaves, however, admits that the club's financial plight is causing problems:

"It's not nice when you're not getting paid and the lads do talk about it. We've got families to support so it's hard coming into work and thinking about where our wages are going to come from. But we've got some good professionals in the dressing room who know we just have to dig in deep."
