At last night's Football League Awards, MK Dons striker Izale McLeod was named as the best player in League Two.
The former Derby trainee has scored 21 times this season, and has averaged a goal every other game since arriving at the National Hockey Stadium in 2004. Jason Koumas was named as the top player in the Championship, while Scunthorpe striker Billy Sharp was top in the League One poll.
Rochdale's Joe Thompson was named as League Two apprentice of the year, while the only other major award to make it to the basement was for Fan of the Year. Bury supporter Stan McGowen, who organises a minibus for disabled supporters every game, scooped the award.
