Graham Turner has praised the turnaround at Macclesfield under Paul Ince and suggested that tomorrow's game will be a big challenge for Hereford United.
"Paul Ince inherited a decent bunch of players, but what he's done is to galvanise them into performances and built up a bit of confidence; they've had a terrific turnabout," Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"It's a big challenge going there and it'll be a hard game.
"We've got to perform far, far better than we did against Mansfield."
Turner will have new on-loan signing Steve Jennings in the squad. Should he start it is expected he will replace Luke Webb.
However it isn't certain that captain Tamika Mkandawire will be fit enough to start.
"It's a little strain of the abductor muscles in his groin; we think he's got a good chance of being fit."
As for Macclesfield Ince has keeper Tommy Lee, centre back Danny Swailes and midfield man Alan Navarro available again. He may give new £17,500 signing Adam Murray his home debut.
They will also have available John Murphy who has moved from Blackpool after a spell on loan at Moss Rose.
Meanwhile the London press continue to mention that Dartford's Dave Martin has trained at Hereford however it looks increasingly likely that Martin will move to Crystal Palace.
The 21-year-old has trained with Peter Taylor's side and it's suggested that around £20,000 might buy him from Dartford.
"Dave's trained with us on about 10 or 12 occasions. He's a player I'm definitely interested in, but I don't know if anything will happen. He's an out-and-out left winger, which is what I've been looking for," said Taylor.
