No Day Off for Bulls

Hereford United will train tomorrow (Sunday).

The plan had been to give the squad a day or two off.

"We have to be in for training by 10am tomorrow," said Simon Travis, the sponsors man of the match, as he was presented with a bottle of bubbly after the game.

The PA stats gave Travis an eight, Gulliver and Purdie a seven, and most of other players a six other than Connell, Webb and Fleetwood who each received a five.

For Mansfield Gritton received the top mark of an eight.

Hereford had 49% of possession against 51% for Mansfield.

Graham Turner spoke of his disappointment with the result to the press core after the game.

"The conditions were difficult out there with the strong wind but both sides tried to play football.

"It is hard to understand when you throw in a performance like that.

"From front to back we came off second best and lost all the battles. We just never played and didn't deserve anything from the game."
