More on Jennings

Steven Jennings has risen through the ranks at Tranmere since joining at the age of 14 when he was released by Everton according to the Official Tranmere Rovers website.

He made his first-team debut in the 2-1 home win over Oldham in 2003-04, coming on as a second half substitute and continued to be in around the first team squad.

Best known as a central midfielder with an eye for getting forward, he has also made several appearances for the first team at right back and right midfield. His first goal for Tranmere came against Lincoln City in the LDV Vans Trophy.

He made 29 starts in the 2005-06 season - the second highest of any midfielder at the Club - and signed a new two year contract in April.

This season Jennings he has only had five starts for Tranmere. However he is understood to have suffered an injury earlier this season.
