Heavy Pitch expected at Bristol on Friday

Unless the weather improves quickly, a heavy pitch is expected at Bristol Rovers on Friday evening when Hereford United visit the Memorial Stadium for the Third Round FA Cup clash.

Yesterday's game against Torquay was played in 'difficult weather conditions, with heavy and driving rain making football tricky for both sets of players' according to the Gasheads.

Sky Sports pictures of the game showed the ground looking badly cut-up.

The forecast for Bristol over the next few days suggests more rain and showers tomorrow but possibly a little drier and brighter on Thursday and Friday. At present it is set to be quite windy on Friday evening.

Yesterday the pitch at Wycombe was relatively good even though there had been some quite heavy rain earlier.
