Fans United Demo at Wolves on Saturday

The Football Supporters Federation has issued a reminder about the national Fans United demonstration next Saturday from 9am to 10.30am which is being backed by the Football Supporters' Federation. The particular issue they're demonstrating about is Cardiff City supporters being banned from their game against Wolves at Molineux on the day of the demonstration and rally.

"I know the hour is far too early but that is the only time the Police would allow the event to take place. It's Cardiff City this week, it's been Manchester City, Millwall, Stoke City and, ironically, Wolverhampton Wanderers in the past. Rumours have circulated this week about the Metropolitan Police trying to restrict the number of away supporters at the forthcoming Carling Cup semi-finals between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, including a story in this evening's Evening Standard," says Steven Powell Head of Development of FSF.

IT'S TIME FOR SUPPORTERS TO STAND UP TOGETHER AND BE COUNTED. ALL SUPPORTERS IRRESPECTIVE OF CLUB/NATIONAL TEAM ARE WELCOME ON SATURDAY. PLEASE WEAR YOUR CLUB/NATIONAL TEAM SHIRTS/COLOURS.

THE ONLY THING WE DON'T WANT IS ANYBODY INTERESTED IN A RUCK. IF THAT'S YOUR THING, DO US ALL A FAVOUR AND STAY AT HOME. YOU?RE NOT WELCOME.

ALSO, WE'RE LOOKING FOR MESSAGES OF SUPPORT FROM SUPPORTERS' CLUBS/ASSOCIATIONS/TRUSTS/FANZINES AND WEBSITES FOR THE RALLY ON SATURDAY. PLEASE E-MAIL THESE TO: steven.powell@fsf.org.uk
