Chester have signed former Tranmere and Rushden defender Graham Allen on a free transfer.
Allen, 29, has signed a 12 month deal after making just five appearances for relegated Rushden last season, having been forced out the team following the signing of Wayne Hatswell from Kidderminster.
In other news, Peterboro have confirmed the signing of Woking striker Justin Richards on a two year deal. Richards, 26, was second top scorer in the Conference last season. Torquay keeper Alan Marriott has denied reports that he is due to sign for Boston. Mansfield have signed Reading defender Jonny Mullins, who spent most of last season on loan at Kidderminster.
