Leicester here we come

Hereford United ran out 3-2 winners this evening in the Conference play-off game against Morecambe.

Full report shortly.

After the game there was a pitch invasion by hundreds mainly young Hereford fans. Some decided to goade the Morecambe supporters which was totally uncalled for. A few Shrimpers throw the odd new seat onto the pitch.

However the vast majority of supporters of both sides were a credit to their respective teams.

Morecambe sang and Hereford sang louder. The atmosphere was the best seen at Edgar Street for several seasons.

Eventually the Hereford side did a slow circuit around the pitch and Graham Turner walked out as well.

It was a sight to see.

Three years Hereford United have come second in the League and twice failed to make the final. Not this time.

The final takes place at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday week, May 20th against Halifax Town.

Let's hope it will be the day when Hereford United return to the League. It can not come too soon.
