Exeter have released veterans Steve Flack and Chris Vinnicombe as they rebuild for another shot at the Conference crown next season.
Flack, 34, spent 10 years at Exeter and played over 400 games for the club but this season has been a bit player - coming off the bench 25 times and scoring in just three games. Vinnicombe, 35, was a former City trainee who was snapped up by Graeme Souness for Rangers and spent five years with the Scottish side before long spells with Burnley and Wycombe, rejoining Exeter in the summer but playing just four times.
Winger Les Afful, who is ending the season on loan at Torquay, has also been shown the door after failing to cement his place in the side. Afful was the subject of a loan bid from League One side Yeovil before the move to Torquay.
Exeter had already released striker Craig Farrell, and are likely to let fellow forward Jake Edwards depart. Five players are considering new deals.
