Canvey's future will be decided this week when Jeff King and six others will meet to map out the future.
King, who left assistant Glenn Pennyfather in charge for Saturday's match and spent the day drinking with Canvey supporters, hopes the club will remain in the Conference despite the withdrawal of his backing.
King told BBC Radio Essex: "It'll be Tuesday or Wednesday there will be a meeting with myself, people from my companies, and people who have been in the background of Canvey for the last few years to sort out what we can do and where we can go from there.
"I can't guarantee when an announcement will be made but I hope the club can continue in the Conference as they have done for the last few years. We've improved again this year and now is the time for people who want to help the club because in a weeks time it might be too late."
Meanwhile, Gravesend are looking for another Chairman after Brian Kilcullen resigned after six years in the post. Kilcullen, a major shareholder, will remain on the board but focus on financing the club.
