Preview: Gravesend vs Bulls

The Bulls face the long midweek trip to Gravesend for only their eighth encounter with The Fleet.

It's been a fairly happy fixture for Bulls fans so far. A solitary defeat in the first Conference game between these two sides is the only blot on the form books with the Bulls winning four and drawing the other two of the remaining games.

Earlier in the season the sides played out a 1-1 draw at Edgar Street, with the Bulls failing to hold on to a Craig Stanley goal and conceding the equaliser in the 89th minute from a corner, with many Bulls fans blaming Graham Turner for bringing on Tamika Mkandawire when defending that corner. Since then, the Bulls have abandoned the three centre-backs and will make several changes to the side that played that day.

Gravesend appear destined for mid table mediocrity being nine points short of the play-offs, fifteen behind the Bulls, and 16 points above the relegation spots in 11th place. Recent form has been good, if unspectacular. The last three games have been drawn, two of them 0-0, all against bottom six opponents and they have lost only one of the last nine - to leaders Accrington. Whilst they haven't conceded many, they haven't scored many either. Missing 13 goal top scorer Charlie MacDonald for the last five games they've only scored four times.

Gravesend vs Hereford United, Stonebridge Road, Tuesday March 7th 7.45pm.
