McIndoe on trial at Derby

Former Hereford United player, Michael McIndoe, is to go on trial at Derby County with a view to a permanent deal.

Terry Westley, the Derby manager, has bolstered his relegation-threatened side with the loan signing of Doncaster Rovers midfielder McIndoe.

Now 26, McIndoe will remain at Pride Park until the end of the season.

"We've been working extremely hard to strengthen the squad and Michael is one of the top players in League One," Westley told the Rams' official website.

"He became available on loan with an opportunity to purchase and now he has the chance to show us what he can do.

"He's scored 13 goals this season and has been over double figures in each of the last three seasons. Michael is an attacking left-sided player and also has the versatility to play on the right.

"We're delighted to have him on board and we're very hopeful of having another new face in the squad by the time we take on Burnley on Saturday."
