Shrewsbury Town lost nearly £350,000 last year according to the Shropshire Star. This compares with a loss of £144,000 the previous season when they were in the Conference.
Gate receipts fell by £179,000 to £750,000, while wages rose to £1,375,225 - an increase of £66,112 - despite the number of players and other employees both falling.
Administration costs increased by nearly a third to £98,554 and the income from media including TV fell by £120,000.
Hereford United are expected to announce their results in the next few weeks. It is thought that they will have made a six-figure profit but it will be well down on the previous season's record results.
