First half performance gave Bulls win

John Trewick, the Hereford United coach, spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester after last nights game with Aldershot. He said that the first half performance gave the Bulls an important win.

"2-0 at half-time and possibly might have been more, could have put the game beyond doubt, but as we all know in football two goals often isn't enough.

"It's a vunerable type lead because if the opposition get one it really gets their tails up and they can come at you."

Meanwhile Craig Stanley is hopeful the Bulls can still catch Accrington Stanley.

"Hopefully by the time Accrington come to Edgar Street in March we will have eaten into their lead," Stanley told the Western Daily Press.

"We have only lost one more game than Accrington but all credit to them they have opened up a good lead on us."

Finally, Terry Brown, the Aldershot manager, gave these comments to the official Aldershot Website.

"After having everything go against us in the first half I thought we responded well after the break. The two goals were again soft and knocked the stuffing out of us. At half time we were left with the scenario that we had to attack to try to get something out of the match and that is what we did. We had to go for it and we did. We have to do that against Morecambe and Accrington becuase there is not a defensive formation I can put out there at the moment that is not going to concede goals.

Nikki Bull said before the game that every time we come here we concede a soft goal in the first five minutes and every time they go to Aldershot we concede a wonder goal early on. They certainly have the kiss of death over us because at the end I thought that we deserved something out of the game".
