Burton Albion's Nigel Clough is the favourite of Derby County fans to become next manager of the Pride Park outfit.
A poll in the Derby Evening Telegraph sees Clough poll 13.4% of the vote, just ahead of ex-Rams chief Jim Smith with 12.9%.
Sixteen different names polled more than 2% of the vote, with Mark Wright gaining 6% of the poll. The former Derby defender was recently sacked by Peterboro, but now intends to sue the club for breach of contract and damaging his reputation.
In other Conference news, Morecambe have revealed that they rejected an approach from Blackpool for Danny Carlton on deadline day. Canvey Island have resigned striker Neil Midgley after his release from Kettering.
