Hereford United will not only be pleased with the win, but also with the atmosphere this afternoon at Edgar Street.
For the first time for some months the Meadow End were in good voice and this, no doubt, helped the team to keep going when the game was at stalemate.
After the game, Andy Ferrell, the Hereford United mid-fielder spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"The way the fans reacted after the game, they appreciated us," he said.
"I think we fully deserved the win. And now we've just got to push on.
Talking about the game Ferrell spoke about the pace of the team.
"With Fleet and Adam upfront, they're going to cause any defence, even League teams, a hell of a lot of danger just with their pace and the way they attack. Willo is the same when he is up there and DCB.
"And then we've got Guy if we want to change the way we play. He can hold it up."
Graham Turner also spoke after the game to the press.
"They were three excellent points, I thought we worked very hard.
"They are a decent side and, although we were perhaps a little fortuitous with the goal, we ground them down."
The gate at Hereford of 2,555 was the highest in the Conference today. The leaders Accrington only had 2,156 through their turnstiles and challengers Grays Athletic only 1,038.
