Macclesfield have sold star striker Jon Parkin to Hull City for an undisclosed amount.
Our LDV opponents finally cashed in their star asset in order to finance the payment of a massive fine imposed by the FA over grants claimed by the club for the rebuilding of the Moss Rose ground.
The undisclosed fee is believed to be well in excess of the £100,000 bid Lincoln had rejected earlier in the week.
UPDATE: York site http://york.rivals.net claims the deal is £100,000 up front, with £50,000 based on appearances and goals. York hold a sell-on clause with the player and are due to get a "significant" sum from the deal.
