Kidderminster Harriers have shortlisted six in their prolonged hunt for a new manager.
Harriers initially announced a plan to have the new boss in place by the end of December but, with several board members unavailable, the decision is now likely to be taken next week.
The board finally meet tonight after several abortive attempts to whittle the six down to two or three for interviews early next week. Caretaker-boss Martin O'Connor, who has recorded just two league points from twelve as boss but has progressed in the LDV and FA Trophies, ex-player Mark Yates, Stafford boss Phil Robinson and Jimmy Quinn are believed to have been joined on the shortlist by controversial ex-Cambridge manager John Beck and Keith Alexander, whose reign at Lincoln City appears to be nearing an end after being put "on leave" by the board.
UPDATE: The shortlist is now down to five, with Lincoln re-instating manager Keith Alexander. The Lincoln board have cited "and unfortunate series of events" for his temporary removal, and his assistant Gary Simpson has left the club with immediate effect.
