Turner Tells Liaison Meeting Exeter Game On Sky

Speaking to the monthly Supporters Liaison meeting, Graham Turner told representatives of HUISA, the Junior Bulls, and the VP Club that the Exeter away match will be on Sky.

The Conference informed the club that the game is now scheduled for Friday 30th December with an evening kick-off. The Bulls will receive £2,000 for the coverage.

Turner added that both Adam Stansfield and Simon Travis had come through that afternoon's reserve match with Cheltenham without problems, but both were lacking a bit of "match sharpness". Turner described the friendly match as "being murdered 0-0", and gave praise to Wayne Brown's performance.

In regards to the lease situation, Turner and Joan Fennessey were due to meet with the council on Tuesday morning with a view of extending the leases. Turner believed there were no likely hitches to concluding a deal for the extension, and hoped the situation would be finalised before the new year. The Richardsons were drawing up some outline plans for developing the Blackfriars End and club architect, Alan Cotterill, was overseeing the plans to ensure the club had the right facilities for the stadium.

When asked about the Foregate Street incident, Turner stated that the club had not received any feedback from the Police over the situation. Several representatives of the Liasion committee recounted their experiences of the day, and were critical of the amount of Police used.

In response to questions Turner has not ruled out "shuffling the pack" in January's transfer window, and has room within the squad budgeting rules to bring in "the right player" - adding that if wholesale changes were needed then some players would have to leave first.
