Margate Get FA Approval For CVA

Margate are due to exit Administration following the approval of their CVA by the FA and creditors.

The Ryman League Premier club entered Administration last season as debts mounted after demotion from the Conference following stadium problems. Margate began demolition of their Hartsdown Park stadium in 2001 to rebuild it to Football League standards, but problems with planning and the development company halted work and the club were demoted by the Conference in 2004 after a planned season-long stay at Dover was repeatedly extended with no prospect of Hartsdown Park being rebuilt. They fell straight through the Conference South trapdoor last season whilst sharing at Ashford, with the playing side taking a massive budget cut leading to a second successive relegation.

After three years away the club returned home this season, utilising temporary stands to get the ground up to Ryman league standards, still harbouring intentions to rebuild the ground into a 5,000 capacity Football League graded ground.
