Conference Results Round Up

Grays Athletic return to the top of the league after beating previous leaders Exeter 2-1 as both sides ended with 10 men after a half time tunnel fight. The attendance of 6,682 is Exeter's highest in the Conference, and one of the top 20 all time attendance figures. Accrington sandwich the pair, after winning 2-0 at home to bottom club Forest Green on Friday night. Stevenage lost ground on the leaders with a 1-1 home draw with Scarboro, who are unbeaten in the league since Neil Redfearn took charge. Halifax beat second bottom Southport 2-0 thanks to two goals in two minutes. York scored their first point in three games by drawing 0-0 at Kidderminster, who slip down to sixteenth. Morecambe won by a single goal at Woking, opening up a six point gap between the top 8 and the rest of the league. Gravesend beat Altrincham 2-0, and Aldershot beat Cambridge by the same score to record 10 points out of 12. Tamworth fought their way to a 2-1 win over Canvey, and had seven booked and one sent off in the process. Burton are also climbing up the table, recording their third straight league win after losing at Edgar Street by beating Crawley 3-1.

The Bulls remain eighth in the table, seven points off the top.

Our LDV Trophy opponents Port Vale drew 1-1 at home to bottom club Swindon, with ex-Bull Michael Husbands scoring a late equaliser. Our FA Cup opponents Stockport came from behind twice to get a 2-2 draw which cost Leyton Orient top spot.
