Matt Bailey is understood to have returned to Crewe.
Hereford United supporters were told the news by goal-keeping coach Bernard Day at Cambridge City last night.
The reasons for the return were not disclosed.
Bailey came to Hereford just in time for the Aldershot game on September 27th. Graham Turner worked him hard as he took some part in virtually every game from that date.
Whilst with the Bulls he was only on the losing side once, that was against Accrington Stanley.
