Speaking in the Non-League Paper, Graham Turner was pleased with the win against Burton: "It was important that we got the three points and it was important that we kept another clean sheet but also to score more than one goal. It was the first time we've done that here since the opening day."
"It was a well taken goal by Danny Carey-Bertram and he and Matt Bailey operated quite well together up front with some neat flick-ons. For 20 minutes in the second half it was hard watching us again but only because we try to overcomplicate things. But we had some good periods in the game as well when we got some good strikes in on goal, particularly in the first half."
"We have a couple of nice cup matches to look forward to, at Mansfield in the LDV Vans on Tuesday and at home to Alfreton in the FA Cup next Saturday."
Burton manager Nigel Clough felt his side had dominated the game: "We played pretty well today, it was just a mistake from Darren Tinson to let their lad in which left us chasing the game. For the first 10 minutes we looked a bit edgy but then we settled down to control the game and until the second half I thought we were in charge. On another day, we would have got a point or three."
In other NLP news, Tony James made the team of the week.
