Segregation at Alfreton Town tomorrow

This report comes from the Alfreton Town FC Forum webmanager:

Tuesday night's FA Cup 4th qualifying round replay at home to Hereford United WILL be subject to supporter segregation.

This decision has been met at the request of the visitors - and is solely for the benefits of health and safety for all attending the game.

Alfreton Town supporters will be required to enter the ground by using the Bentley Close turnstiles ONLY which means visiting fans will enter the Impact Arena via the Alma Street entrances ONLY.

Hereford United fans will be housed on the Alma Street end terracing and in the seats in the first third of the Family Stand on the welfare side.
Visiting fans will NOT be allowed entrance into any of the bars on the changing room side of the ground.

Alfreton Town FC fully sympathise with their fans over this matter.

Chairman Wayne Bradley explained today: "Unfortunately the only ability we have to segregate is to parallel the moves which were made for last season's Macclesfield Town home tie and everyone loses the ability for fans to swap ends at half-time.
"There is no other solution which is acceptable to the authorities at the present time and we have no other option but to go down this route in order to stage the tie.

"The club have had plans accepted to put other modes of segregation into operation. But, they cannot be implemented in this, or any other season, until a new turnstile block is built and we just cannot unlock the funds to do that out of the poor attendance levels we have suffered so far this season."
