Preview: Bulls vs Burton

The Bulls face their bogey team this Saturday, having won just once in six Conference encounters - in April 2003 with a 4-0 win thanks to a Steve Guinan double. Last season the teams drew in a goalless encounter at Edgar Street, with Tamika Mkandawire receiving his marching orders just before half time. The Bulls did defeat Burton in a GLS Cup match at Eton Park in January, but both teams fielded under strength sides that night.

Just two of the starting line up for the Bulls in the last Edgar Street encounter between these two sides twelve months ago, Mkandawire and Craig Stanley, are likely to start on Saturday, with seven of the others now departed and the other two, Simon Travis and Adam Stansfield, injured. Travis may find a place on the bench, but Stansfield is ruled out for at least another three weeks. Guy Ipoua will also miss out with the following weeks FA Cup game a more likely target for the Cameroonian, while Stacy Coldicott will miss out as more tests are carried out on his back injury.

Burton have taken seven points from the last 12, defeating both Exeter and Stevenage in the process, but remain just a single point from the bottom of the table. Their solitary away win this season came at a misfiring Exeter, while they have conceded 12 goals in their six away matches so far this season. The on-loan striker Danny Bacon will be missing after breaking a leg two weeks ago, but they will feature two players signed last week - goalkeeper Saul Deeney and midfielder Lee Bell.
