Cambridge sealed their first victory of the season with a 2-1 win over Hereford. The Bulls found theirselves one down at the break after Steven Smith hit a curling shot past Craig Mawson. In the second half Hereford grew in confidence and got the equaliser through Guy Ipoua, who rose at the back post to header home a corner. However, it was the youthful Cambridge who got the winner as David Bridges followed up a shot that had deflected off a Hereford defender.
