Leslie Law, featured in today's Sunday Times, is another sportsman with memories of 1972.
Law, who is the Olympic three-day champion, was asked by the paper about his earliset sporting memory.
"Trying to get time off from primary school to attend Hereford United's famous third-round replay victory over Newcastle United at Edgar Street.
"My younger brother Graham and I are both Hereford born and bred and there was so much buzz and excitement in the town before that match in 1972."
