Turner wins March award

Graham Turner, the Hereford United manager, in line for "fq" prize. He won the March vote against strong opposition (more details see Bulls News story dated February 8th). The following includes part of a press release sent to Confguide:

The commitment and loyalty of Graham Turner has earned the Hereford United
manager a place in the final of a year-long initiative to find those people
who have a unique relationship with the beautiful game - a "Football
Quotient".

uhlsport, the world's largest football-only company, and specialist football
title FourFourTwo Magazine, developed The FQ Awards to celebrate those
people who, through their actions, have displayed football's most positive
elements: respect, talent, vision, commitment, integrity, loyalty and
community.

uhlsport spokesperson Paul Reaney commented: "Without people like Graham
Turner there wouldn't be football clubs. The Hereford United Chairman and
Manager has almost single-handedly kept the club afloat during too many
stormy seasons. For his investment in his community, perseverance and
loyalty Turner is a worthy finalist."

In the final, March heat winner Turner will be up against Celtic supporters,
photographer Michael Hutson, Pierluigi Collina, Parry & Brazil, Millwall's
Paul Ifill, Charlton FC Coaching Staff, Iain Dowie, Leeds Supporter Kjell
Skjerven, AFC Wimbledon supporters and Bob Marley.

The winner will be announced on May 4th. To see more and vote for Graham Turner please go to www.precision-football.com

The final of the competition marks the conclusion of a year long search for those fans, players, teams, directors, coaches, administrators, officials, authors, philosophers, broadcasters and journalists who have shown their Football Quotient.

Each of the finalists have, through their actions, recognised, embraced and encouraged the key elements of FQ - respect, talent, vision, commitment, dignity, loyalty and community. It's up to you to decide who has shown the greatest FQ.

Remember, vote for any of the candidates and you enter a draw to see uhlsport midfielder Pavel Nedved in Serie A action for Juventus.
