Hereford defeated Halifax 1 - 0 this afternoon at the Shay. Tamika Mkandawire scored with a header in the second half in a hard fought game. Hereford need one more point to secure a play off place which they could acheive on Tuesday at Woking.
Once again there was an excellent turn-out of Hereford supporters to watch the game. Early estimates suggest around 600. However there were sketchy reports of some trouble before the game.
Danny Williams had to pull up halfway through the first half and was replaced by Simon Travis.
The table keeps Hereford United in third place:
1 Barnet 40 48 85
2 Carlisle 40 39 72
3 Hereford 40 27 72
4 Aldershot 40 14 69
