James suffers suspected ligament damage

Tony James, the Hereford United captain, was stretched off at Hucknall last night with suspected ankle ligament damage during the second half of the FA Trophy which the Bulls lost by the only goal of the game.

His place was taken by Andy Tretton.

Hucknall deserved their victory. Once again the Bulls looked as though they didn't want to be playing for much of the first period.

After half-time, Hereford had more possession but hardly gave the Hucknall keeper more than the odd shot to deal with. Too many high balls to Lee Mills seemed the main tactic, and as at Tamworth last Tuesday, Mills couldn't cope with many of them.

Full report on the game later today.

Meanwhile as Exeter defeated Burton in the Conference last night , Hereford drop to eight position in the table.
