We did not play well
The Hereford United manager, Graham Turner, admitted after last night's home draw with Dagenham that his team did not play well.
"We ground out a draw in the end because I think we had been very good at the back. The two central defenders have been strong and although they had a lot of the ball, there haven't been too many clear cut chances for them," he commented on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
"If you are going to be successful, sometimes you have to grind out results and that's been the case tonight.
"We've not played well. We could easily have finished with nothing but we got a point out of it."
Garry Hill, the Dagenham boss told the Nationwide site: "I thought we showed a lot of character. I thought that it was only in the last ten minutes that Hereford showed why they are top of the table."
Turner added: "Dagenham were a well-organised, strong, powerful outfit and we played right into their hands at times."
