Work has started on removing equipment from behind the Blackfriars End of Hereford's Edgar Street stadium which is due to be demolished next month.
This morning the club said the sprinkler system would be moved to behind the Meadow End.
Under the terms of the club's new lease from Herefordshire Council, some extra land behind the Meadow End has been included.
In time when the Meadow End has to be rebuilt this extra area will be invaluable as it will give the club a greater area for any new stand and associated facilities.
As well as the sprinkler system, water tanks will also need to be moved.
