Hereford have signed Collins Tanor - the former Ghana U17 captain - on dual registration from Stratford Town.
Tanor spent four years with Manchester City.
The 26 year old midfielder has recently been playing for American USL League Two side South Bend Lions.
Hereford FC said has since returned to the UK where he has been with Southern League Premier Division Central side Stratford.
However, it is not clear how many times he has featured for Stratford as he is not listed on their website.
Former Hereford players Dylan Barkers and Jamie Molyneux are currently playing at Stratford.
