Former Hereford United player and fans favourite Jimmy Harvey, now manager at Forest Green Rovers, appears to be very happy with the season so far.
"It's been a massive turnaround," Harvey told BBC Sport.
"Forest Green had been relegation fodder for the last four or five years and so to be at the other end of the table and playing the football we are playing, the supporters can't believe it.
"We are getting reports of being the best football team in the league, we are scoring goals and winning games so I feel happy about that."
Harvey was a midfielder with Hereford United. He went on to manage Morecambe successfully for twelve years before having a heart attack. Whilst recovering his job at Christie Park was given to Sammy McIlroy so Harvey moved on.
"The bunch of boys here is very similar to the one I had at Morecambe," he said.
"For a long time there I did not have the budget of the top five or six clubs and I've had the same thing at Forest Green.
"The budget is one thing and it's a massive help. But you have to have the boys working and playing how you want and that's our strength.
"Some people have already commented about our football being probably the best in the league.
"When I was at Morecambe people thought the same about that team. The players here have picked up very quickly how I like to play and they are producing it.
"The style of football and playing attractive football is one thing. I love that but I want to win football matches and that's what we are producing," Harvey added.
He spoke about striker Stuart Fleetwood.
"He's a local boy who's fitted in perfectly," said Harvey.
"I was looking for a centre-forward and he came available. When I was at Morecambe he always caught my eye. I had a word with Graham Turner who was unsure whether to let him go or not.
"I took him and he's really started to enjoy himself."
