Two agree to sign new deals at Edgar Street
Two Hereford United players have committed to the club for next season.
Midfielder Danny Williams and defender Richard Teesdale have agreed new contracts as Graham Turner aims to boost his squad, report the Hereford Times, but they have yet to put pen to paper. Goalkeeper Ken Griffiths, who was released by the Bulls last month, has joined Exeter City on trial.
A deal as been agreed with Exeter, according to the Express & Echo, and outgoing chairman John Russell said: "He is very well liked and a popular lad. We are preparing to take him on and have given him a letter of intent, then it's up to Gary [Peters, the manager] when he comes back whether he wants to take him on."
Meanwhile, Ludlow Town have revealed that Hereford United will play a pre-season game at the South Shropshire club. The Bulls will celebrate the opening of their new Coors Stadium, although no date has yet been arranged.
Chairman Peter Gwilliam told the Ludlow Advertiser: "Building work is progressing well and the playing surfaces on all the pitches are getting better and better. We are looking are looking forward to coming home to Ludlow after a couple of difficult seasons ground sharing at Bridgnorth and Shifnal. There is a buzz of anticipation and we are looking to develop a team that will put Ludlow on the football map."
