Baker gains late England chance

An injury to Chester City goalkeeper Wayne Brown means Matt Baker will travel to South Wales for the Four Nations Tournament with England.

The Hereford United stopper is likely to be reserve, behind Yeovil number one Chris Weale, as Paul Fairclough makes a couple of changes to the English squad.

Baker will partner Hereford defender Michael Rose in the squad, with both Paul Parry and Tony James featuring for Wales. The two sides meet in Merthyr a week tomorrow, with the tournament kicking off next Tuesday with Wales playing Scotland at Carmarthen Town and the Irish Republic facing England in Merthyr.

HU-FC.co.uk will provide reports from most of the matches, but I can't be in two places at once. If you are going to any of the games and would like to help us out, please email me at terrygoodwin@hu-fc.co.uk.
