Matt Richards has dropped down a league as he signs for a new club after leaving Hereford.
Richards left the Bulls earlier this month at the end of his deal to pursue more playing time. Then, on Saturday, Southern League Premier Central side Worcester City announced they had signed the midfielder.
He came off the bench to make his debut for the mid-table step three side as they lost 1-0 against bottom side Stamford AFC at Sixways.
In his post-match interview, a disappointed City boss Chris Cornes said of Richards: "He's got bags of energy, very neat and tidy. Hopefully he can come in and make us a little bit better."
The 21-year-old came through the ranks at West Bromwich Albion and has had loan spells with Alvechurch, Stourbridge and Leamington.
