Brady Appointed Port Vale Manager

Former Hereford United midfielder Jon Brady has been appointed manager of Port Vale. Previously he managed Northampton.

50 year old Brady has already managed over 500 games including a six year spell in charge of Brackley.

Brady signed for Hereford in June 2005 and made 19 appearances before moving to Cambridge in January 2006. At the time he said he found travelling to Hereford difficult from his home.

Before joining Hereford he had already obtained his UEFA B Licence so when he retired from football he joined Brackley as a coach.

"We’re delighted to welcome Jon to Vale Park as the club’s new manager," said Port Vale CEO Matt Hancock.

"Jon was the standout candidate at the end of what was a thorough recruitment process, with his experience and passion for returning to management here at Port Vale really shining through.

"Jon is someone who we believe can make a real difference here in both the short and long term, and he will have our full support as we focus on achieving our objectives this season."
