Hereford fans face wait for Merthyr ticket sales info

Hereford FC have said they are still waiting for Merthyr Town to release ticket details for the New Year trip to Penydarren Park.

The club updated supporters on Wednesday afternoon, confirming that despite being in contact with Merthyr, they have not yet received the information needed to put away tickets on sale.

The Enterprise National League North fixture — scheduled for Tuesday 30th December, 7.45pm — will be all-ticket and segregated, as Merthyr announced this week. Home fans can already buy digital tickets online, with none available to buy on the night.

However, the situation for travelling Bulls fans remains unclear, with neither club yet confirming allocations, when they will go on sale or any priority windows.

While Merthyr said that arrangements are being made with Hereford for the sale of away tickets to their fans, the Bulls said they still haven't got all the details.

In their brief statement, Hereford said: “We can confirm that we are still awaiting the full ticket details from Merthyr Town. We have been in contact with them today to request an update, and we’ve been informed that we will receive information this week.

"We appreciate your patience and understanding while we await these final details.”

Merthyr have previously said that sales will close once the ground’s safety capacity is reached, though they did not confirm the figures for either club. They also advised supporters to arrive early to avoid queues.

Bulls fans will now have to wait for further clarification in the coming days.

Merthyr, promoted to National League North last season, set ticket prices at £15 for adults, £12 for concessions (includes seniors, students & EFL club season ticket holders) and £5 for under 16s for the 2025/26 season.
