Hereford 'Handled The Game Very Well' Said Watson

South Shields manager Ian Watson felt Hereford handled yesterday's game very well.

"We made it difficult because the opposition came with a lot of agression.

"The longer this run goes on, the more teams are going to want to try and beat us and take three points from here. So it's really important we raise our standards all the time.

"I thought first half we were really good and then second half they changed a few things and the momentum of the game changed .

"They are a good side and they put a lot of balls into our box.

"I thought they handled the game really well. They did certain things to put balls in certain areas, they asked a lot of questions of us."

South Shields were 1-0 ahead at the break but Hereford equalised early in the second period.

"They get the goal, we gave them that space.

"To be fair it was a very good goal from their point of view, from our point of view a really poor goal. The goal obviously knocked us.

"I thought the opposition really worked hard, they really pushed and they really tried.

"We had to stand up to that."
