Hamilton Joins Hereford

Hereford have signed attacking midfielder Harley Hamilton from Alvechurch.

Alvechurch released a statement yesterday that Hamilton was off to a very big club.

'Following an approach from a very big club just higher up the pyramid we can confirm Harley Hamilton has now left us. We wish him very well on this move and all the best in his future career.'

Hamilton had only joined Alvechurch on October 21st. He has made just two appearances for them

'You may have noticed a new name on the team sheet last night! We're delighted to announce the signing of midfielder and ex-Birmingham City professional Harley Hamilton! '

So confirmation that the 'very big club' was Hereford came late this afternoon.

'Hereford FC is delighted to announce the signing of Harley Hamilton from Alvechurch.

Hamilton is a 21 year old attacker who has an abundance of creative and attacking flair. A player who is tall in stature and enjoys taking on defenders.'

Hamilton was released by Birmingham City last summer.

Hereford manager Paul Caddis has spoken about his new player.

“I am really pleased to add Harley to our squad at a time when we are depleted at the top end of the pitch. Harley is a player I have tracked for some time, and I looking forward to working with him.

“He is tall in stature, but has a lot of ability in his game and one I am looking forward to helping progress his game and get his career back on track.”

Hamilton is available for selection next Saturday when Hereford play Curzon Ashton in the League. However it's uncertain if he is able to play against Sudbury in the FA Trophy as he played for Alvechurch in the Trophy last Saturday.
