In his match programme notes for tomorrow's game against Worksop, Hereford chairman Chris Ammonds has spoken about the FA Cup game at Sporting Khalsa next Tuesday.
He said that Hereford's share of the gate from the game would be donated to a good cause.
"Looking ahead to the replayed match at Khalsa on Tuesday, I would
encourage as many supporters as possible to travel to support
our team, but offer advice that there will be eyes on that game that
normally wouldn’t be. It is vital that everyone who attends – home
fan or away – behaves impeccably and shows both clubs in the best
possible light.
"To be transparent, it is also important that our supporters know
that we will not be claiming our share of the gate receipts from
the replayed match. We are not looking for praise for doing this, it
is simply that we do not feel it is right to benefit from a match that
is only taking place because of the actions of someone who has
‘associated’ themselves with our club.
"We have explained this to our counterparts at Sporting Khalsa and
advised we would be happy for them to donate our share of the
receipts to a local charity or a charity of Ravan’s choice. We are
happy to leave this decision to them though."
